Label Textfrom KIA Traveling Exhibition text: Ernst Lehman is a member of the Atelier 7 Group living and exhibiting in Austria. His work represented here is called monotype, a method of taking prints from a painting made on a sheet of glass, or metal. The method consists of laying a sheet of paper over the image and rubbing an impression while the paint is still wet. Although a number of prints can be taken from the same plate, each is likely to be unique.
