Exhibition History"Resilience: African American Artists as Agents of Change," [Travel Version] at the Dennos Museum Center, Traverse City, MI (June 6, 2021 - August, 15, 2021) "Surrealish: The Absurd and Unexpected," KIA Galleries 2 & 5 (June 4 - September 11, 2022)Label Text"Sending Love was originally part of an exhibition that combined images of Adia Millett’s intimate imaginary rooms, like Sending Love, with life-sized, dreamlike installations that visitors were invited to interact with. These works had the ability to disorent the viewers by creating environments that blended dreams and reality. Millett explained that this series of abstracted realities explored the emotional journey from loss to loving once again. Her works also explore domesticity, craft, and the real or imagined suburban dream in America." [from the exhibition Surrealish: The Absurd and Unexpected, 2022]
