Brent Harris

Artist statement: My world and my work is created in Kalamazoo Michigan, where I reside with my wife and two children. All of my creations are brought to life in my studio at the Alchemist Sculpture Foundry. I received my BFA from Western Michigan University in 1994. Immediately afterwards I threw himself into the streets working EMS as a paramedic for seven years, sculpting small figures from the front seat of an ambulance exhibiting my work here and there. Finding my way back into the artist's fold full-time I bought the foundry I now own and since then have shown in galleries throughout the Midwest. My sculptures can be seen in collections in New York, Chicago, and London. Currently I am developing a body of work for large-scale outdoor installations.
