Hideki Kimura
Hideki Kimura studied oil painting and printmaking and Kyoto City University of Arts and completed
independent research at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Fine Art. Kimura has taught
printmaking at Kyoto City University since 1998. Kimura has been exhibiting nationally and
internationally since the early 1980s. He is the founder of the artists’ group MAXI GRAPHICA, and he
recently served as the president for the Committee of Art for Print Studies in Japan. His work is in
numerous public and private collections including the National Museum of Modern art in Kyoto, the
Warsaw National Museum in Poland, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The British Museum and the
Victoria and Albert in London.
