Qian Hui'anChinese, 1833 - 1911

Qian Hui'an was a Shanghai-based figure painter working during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). He was a member of the Shanghai school whose artists were known for blending element of East and West. Despite Qian Hui'an's work for commercial printmakers outside of Shanghai - considered a lowly form of art - Qian's talent and influence cannot be denied.
